Not a lot...

to say today but hey that's life....

Husbands.......

god....they're worse than kids sometimes!!!!! Mine is sitting sulking at the moment in the bedroom ....for what reason? I have no idea....it really pisses me off.....but whatever.....if he wants to act like a child fine...go for it....I'll do the same as I do with the proper kids in this house when they go sulking into their rooms....let them get on with it and come out when they're ready.......but GRRRRRR I can do without it!!!!!!

From wow to....

hell!!!!!
MMMMM had my sister over.....and I know I try not to let her get to me but I can't help it!!!! Subtle comments about my weight(yeah as if I didn't know she's half my size...and ohhhh ohhh I can't fit into any of my tiny wee clothes because I ate something over the holidays...and didn't throw it up....oops bitchy bitchy!!!!) and how it only took her four years to get her provisional black belt in karate cos she worked for it(like I wouldn't....and who says it won't take me four years as well.....) but it gave me inspiration....she's only a provisional....I'm going all the way just to prove a point and if it takes me 10 years to do it I don't give a damn cos I'm going to one-up her :)

Great feeling....

we went into karate class tonight and got called up to the front of the class to show off our belts and got great kudos for how well we did on the grading....the top sensei at the grading thought we had done a really good job so that was really good for the instructors too!!!!

First grading....

towards a black belt!!! The kids and I went through our yellow belt grading for karate....let's say if we didn't get it there might have been some dead sensei in the dojo LOL....it was tough(how the heck am I going to manage when it comes to higher gradings....I have no choice but to get a heck of a lot fitter or I am not going to get anywhere!!!!!!) Only nine people were at the grading and I think there were about 12 sensei watching/grading it so we couldn't mess up.....we were so totally determined to get them that we worked our butts off....it was a great moment when we got those belts presented to us!!!
Not so great on the way home when the water pump on the car went belly up and we had to pull over to the side of the road near a paddock with a stinky car(love that smell of burning), stinky bodies from all that sweating, thirsty and hungry and fighting off flies (what fun)....and then the telling off I got from DH for not putting enough water in the car etc etc (gee I had asked him to do it for me and fill the oil up when he was doing his car the other day...guess he didn't do it...but of course he said I never asked....mmmmmm typical huh!!!!)

Painting

OUCH!!! not an easy job at the best of times, but DH and I are painting the pergola, all those fiddly bits and outside with the sun shining in my eyes and not able to see where I am going wrong and I'm sure there are lots of bits that need going over...but that's what second coats are for.....
can't wait until al the building work is finished and I can settle back into my own routine.....

NEW YEAR, NEW ME

So mad at myself......but that is going to change....committing to a new me....someone with ideas and opinions that matter, or the old me that bitches and moans but at least makes things a little interesting :) ....but I am BACK!!!!
